EWISA Presentation at the Hellenic Police
The Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) successfully organized in cooperation with the Hellenic Police a dissemination event at its premises in Athens, Greece on April 2, 2018. The purpose of this event was to present to the relevant Divisions and Branches of the Hellenic Police, the objectives, progress and expected results of selected ongoing R&D projects. Presentations focused particularly to projects having direct interest for policing technology, tangible and close to operations outcomes. The event hosted approximately one hundred active Police officers from various Directorates and Divisions as well as personnel of the Ministry of Interior/Citizen Protection.
The EWISA project was included in the list of the selected projects. EWISA Project’s scope, approach and operational perspectives were presented to the audience and attracted the interest of the high ranking Officers, especially those assigned in the Border Protection domain. After the presentation of EWISA Project several questions were addressed from the side of the Police Officers regarding the operational capabilities of the resulted outcome.
During the following session where well-targeted discussion tables were formed, ideas and opinions shared between the project’s team and the participants from the side of the Hellenic Police, emphasizing even more to the operational benefits and prospective application details especially regarding the planned and expected results of the EWISA Project.
